Job Description

We are seeking an experienced  Psychiatrist (MD/DO)to provide limited-hours clinical oversight for an established outpatient community mental health practice.

This is a unique opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking a  very part-time, 100% remote position without the demands of a traditional psychiatric patient caseload.

The Psychiatrist will work closely with our  Clinical Directors and clinical leadership team , providing psychiatric oversight and reviewing and signing treatment plans as required and clinically appropriate.

Job Duties

• Review treatment plans prepared by the clinical team.
• Provide psychiatrist review and sign-off on treatment plans when required and within the psychiatrist's professional scope.
• Evaluate treatment plans for clinical appropriateness, completeness, and consistency with accepted standards of care.
• Work collaboratively with Clinical Directors regarding treatment planning and clinical concerns.
• Provide clinical consultation regarding complex cases when necessary.
• Identify treatment-plan concerns requiring additional review or clarification.
• Provide recommendations to Clinical Directors regarding clinical quality and treatment-planning processes.
• Participate in brief clinical leadership meetings when necessary.
• Assist clinical leadership with maintaining appropriate standards of care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives related to treatment planning and clinical services.
• Remain available and responsive to Clinical Directors during mutually agreed-upon working times.
• Complete required reviews and signatures promptly.

Education

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency

Qualification

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active and unrestricted physician license in the state(s) required by the organization
• Strong knowledge of outpatient behavioral health treatment
• Experience working with multidisciplinary mental health teams

Experience working alongside therapists, counselors, social workers, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and Clinical Directors is also preferred.

• Experience in community mental health is strongly preferred.

175-225 Per Hour

100% Remote, Maximum approximately 5 hours per week

The ideal candidate is an experienced psychiatrist who does not necessarily want another traditional patient caseload but would like to remain involved in behavioral healthcare in a flexible capacity. We are looking for someone who is collaborative rather than simply providing a signature. The Psychiatrist should be willing to communicate with our Clinical Directors, raise concerns when something does not appear clinically appropriate, and help ensure that treatment plans reflect appropriate, individualized patient care.
