Job Opportunity: Columbus, OH Our client is looking for an Overhead Crane Operator to join their team.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Our client is a leading manufacturer of metal burial vaults.The Overhead Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and load heavy materials and products along with other duties as assigned.Responsibilities/Duties:Safely controlled hoisting equipment to lift, position, and move heavy materials, machinery, or structural products within a warehouse or industrial facilityManipulate levers, joysticks, or push-button pendants to control bridge, trolley, and hoist movementAttach slings, chains, or clamps to loads, calculate weights to ensure they fall within the safe working limits, and guide loads to prevent swinging or collisionsAssist production line by assembling productsHelp keep the facility cleanLoad and unload trucks as neededOther duties may be assigned Requirements/Qualifications:High school diploma or GED certificate xhyhwjd 1+ years of overhead crane operation experienceAbility to stand/walk for long shifts and regularly lift or move up to 50 poundsGood hand-eye coordination, spatial awarenessBasic math skillsAbility to read measuring tools like tape measures or calipersAttention to detailPrevious assembly experience preferred
